PRAYER-FILLED     NOT FEAR-FILLED

When we encounter any difficult situation in life, including viral outbreaks and health concerns, our response as followers of Jesus is to be filled with prayer. We urge people to acquire accurate, timely information and follow professional guidelines. As a people of hope and trust in God, we should never over-react, spread panic or fear. Rather, show compassion, love, and use common sense in our dealings with ourselves and other people. Below is information from the Center For Disease Control (CDC) on COVID-19.

We Recommend These Steps Of Daily Preventative Care:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Try a fist-bump instead of a handshake or hug at church.

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

  • CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Amazing Grace provides hand sanitizing stations in multiple locations.
